Current Series: Greater Than

This Week: Serving > Being Served

So why a series title called Greater Than? This title communicates two primary ideas for the month of August. The first idea is that we are going to make the actual REFUGE experience greater than it was last year with better worship, small group time accountability, games, teaching, videos. We are going to step up our game and really focus on what it means to do something greater than we have done it before. The second idea is that Jesus’ idea of greater than is different than our idea of greater than. Greater than to Jesus was to actually become less than in the eyes of culture. We become less than by becoming servants to all. The teaching for the month of August will be our first series in a string of series to help students move from being spectators to participants to servants.

Book Study with Discussion
Who: High School Grads to mid twenties
When: Sundays at 6PM
Where: Church Office
Cost: $10 for the book
Idea: Is it God talking to you, or just the late night pizza? How do you know when God is talking to you? What does God want you to do with the rest of you your life? This is a study in how to listen for God’s voice.
Schedule: Every Sunday Starting September 27 through December 13, skipping November 22 for Thanksgiving Break.

Tuesdays at 6:30PM

Not exactly wanting to grow up himself, Mike Blesch leads a group of fun loving adults, primarily late twenties and early thirties, that are working to understand their place in God’s kingdom. They study each week along with the weekend messages. Want to know more? you can email Mike here! If this doesn’t sound like quite where you are in life, we also have a college group that meets Tuesdays at 7 in the church office.
